The First Time is Free

Young people in South East Northumberland to create a play and workshop about child sexual exploitation.

In 2015 Open Clasp Theatre Company worked with young people in South East Northumberland to create a play and workshop about child sexual exploitation which was performed to an audience of teachers, police and other professionals working to make change happen. This is now being delivered by young people from St Benet Biscop Catholic High School, supported by Northumberland Domestic Abuse Project and Arts Council England to Year 9 students in the 16 Northumberland High Schools in June/July 2017 to raise awareness of this issue and support change.
West End Women & Girls Centre, Newcastle are also partnering.
