Sugar

A probation office, a prison cell and a homeless shelter. Meet Annie, Julie and Tracy, three survivors all ‘doing time’ in very different ways.

Three survivors.

Three voices seldom heard.

An unflinching trilogy which honours the hard realities of lives lived in and around the criminal justice system.  Presented by Open Clasp Theatre Company, Sugar is an intimate piece of theatre made for film, co-created with women experiencing homelessness, probation and prison.

Co-created with women in prison, on probation and experiencing homelessness, endorsed by Women’s Aid, Agenda and Shelter. Sugar will support discussions around Women in the Criminal Justice System trapped in a vicious cycle of victimisation and criminal activity.
