Our Executive Producer is leaving Open Clasp for pastures new. Carly joined Open Clasp in 2016 just as we landed back from our time in New York with Key Change. In 2017 Carly was then instrumental in getting Key Change streamed across the world, reaching audiences in 35 countries. In 2018 I remember Carly saying ‘lets film Rattle Snake, like Key Change’, I remember I wasn’t sure, but Carly was right. Carly was ahead of the curve, this was before the pandemic, the right moment in time – we became a hybrid theatre company, both live and film.
Over the past decade Rattle Snake has trained thousands of police officers, professionals and is embedded in a Safe4Life programme with survivors of domestic violence and abuse. Carly continued to lead with this model, touring and filming work. Producing award winning shows such as Sugar, Lasagna, Don’t forget the birds and Mycelial. In 2022 the company won a Special Commendation Award for Content Creation and Distribution at the Digital Culture Awards, this was down to Carly’s skill and creative leadership. We know and value Carly’s eye for beauty, her skill and care shown to her colleagues, creative teams, Gold Star Members and co-creators.
Our shows now sit on Drama Online, the reach global and accessible to millions. This is Carly’s legacy, Open Clasp now hybrid, its reach global, ensuring voices of thousands of women are heard and this is the change Carly has made to the world.
