As the summer months race by, we head towards our Autumn 2018 Tour of our incredible new play…
don’t forget the birds
“I sucked in the cold air, looked at the big sky and it was like being reborn”
At the end of award-winning Key Change, four women walk towards the gate, the sun is shining, all their families are waiting. don’t forget the birds is the true story of what happened next for one of the original collaborators with award-winning Key Change, now released and working with Open Clasp. This first-hand accounts tells how prison took a mother from a daughter and their heart lifting journey to find each other again.
Performed by real-life mother and daughter, don’t forget the birds was originally developed through a seed commission in 2016 with Queen’s Hall Arts and Black Theatre Live. This autumn, we are delighted to work with Live Theatre again as co-producers and to continue the relationship with Queen’s Hall Arts.
