Swags & Tails - Developing a new play...

We've just finished a really productive research and development week on Open Clasp's new play Swags & Tails. Everyone is tired but happy and we can't wait to get the play out on tour next year.
Artistic Director and Writer Catrina McHugh summed it up: "I can't praise the actors and director Charlotte Bennett enough. It was such a great week."
On the final day we had a run through of the work achieved. Amy Fawcett, of Arts Council England, attended and said: "The characters are really well developed and I think that to be able to build a strong emotional connection with them at a script in hand performance really shows the quality of the writing. I’m really looking forward to seeing how it develops from this point and seeing the finished piece."
Swags & Tails will tour in February and March 2012.
"At once endearing, hilarious, passionate and tear-jerking."
"Open Clasp is truly a treasure of the north east that must be supported and encouraged to become a treasure of the nation"
"Open Clasp have the balls, the brains and above all, the sense of humour, to tackle issues in a fresh and beguiling way"
